Abdulhakim – Suzani Embroidery Master
Abdulhakim Tadzhibaev is a renowned Uzbek craftsman and master of traditional Suzani embroidery, born on August 4, 1963, into a family with deep roots in craftsmanship. He represents the third generation of artisans in his family, where the knowledge of silk weaving, satin weaving, fabric dyeing, and embroidery has been passed down from father to son.
From an early age, Abdulhakim learned the fundamentals of textile craftsmanship by working alongside his father and grandfather. His early training included silk processing, natural dyeing techniques, and satin weaving. In 1996, his growing interest in embroidery led him to pursue formal education at one of Tashkent's specialized schools, where he mastered the secrets of traditional Suzani embroidery.

After completing his training, Abdulhakim began producing high-quality silk and embroidered textiles, which were supplied to customers and later organized through embroidery workshops in Namangan. Over time, his work became a family tradition: his wife, daughters, sons, and even grandchildren actively participate in preserving and continuing the craft. Today, Abdulhakim is also a mentor to hundreds of students, passing on his skills and knowledge to the next generation of artisans.
All Suzani and silk products created in his workshop are handcrafted using traditional methods. His youngest son, Abdulbosit Isakjanov, specializes in natural silk dyeing and fabric preparation, creating patterns inspired by national shepherd motifs and classic Suzani designs. Abdulbosit represents the fourth generation of craftsmen in the family, having learned the art from his father since childhood.
Abdulhakim is a participant in numerous national and international exhibitions and is a recognized winner at prestigious handicraft events. He was nominated as “the oldest and most experienced craftsman” at the International Festival of Handicrafts. In addition to his artistic achievements, he has been awarded for his generosity and social contributions, particularly for supporting families in need in the Namangan region as part of the nationwide “Generosity and Support” initiative.
Every stitch tells a story of heritage, devotion, and timeless craftsmanship.
